Project description
The municipality of Kościelisko is a beautiful place on the map of Poland, but remains in the shadow of the neighbouring localities. To exit the shadow, a group of social activists gathered in the local association decided to develop and implement a Startegy activating different local groups, including businessmen, local administration and non-governmental organisations. They wanted to jointly define objectives and present the ways to implement them. For this purpose, they engaged hotel owners, restaurant owners, social activists, sports animators, employees of local administration and cultural institutions, representatives of the advertising industry and municipal councillors. Together they succeeded. After a lot of work and with the support from experts, the Strategy for building and promotion of the tourist brand of the municipality of Kościelisko was developed. The process was not easy or simple. It required a lot of engagement. Two trainings were conducted where participants got theoretical knowledge for planned activities. Then, during seven working meetings, particular issues were jointly discussed. The participants could also use the expertise of professionals engaged in implementation of the project.
As a result, the Municipal Council adopted in its resolution the Strategy for building and promotion of the tourist brand of the municipality of Kościelisko, and the intersectoral partnership for its implementation was signed.
The Municipal Hall of Kościelisko was the partner in the implementation of the project. As a result of the cooperation with the partner, premises of the hall and associated institutions could be used under the project, e.g. for organising meetings or conducting trainings. The partner had also an important role in information policy on the project, posting information on the project on its Internet pages.
