Project description
The project aims at counteracting discrimination of women in the form of violence through: BUILDING nationwide women's anti-violence expert network that can counteract violence against women on the local level; ANALYSING local gender anti-violence programmes in 16 voivodeships, 44 counties, 100 municipalities, and developing model anti-violence programme; LOBBYING for change in this field in local government institutions responsible for implementation of anti-violence programmes; EDUCATING local communities on violence against women through organising initiatives, meetings, workshops, trainings and debates. The project will be implemented in partnership with 15 informal groups and non-governmental organisations from all over Poland, engaged in anti-violence action One Billion Rising (OBR), and with the Icelandic organisation Icelandic Women's Rights Association. The project will be implemented throughout Poland. 15 partner organisations from Poland would participate in the projects team meetings and trainings for the network organisations, in research activities including presenting them in their region of activity, organising a antiviolence event in the region of activity, participate in the debates and events organised during the project. partner organisation from Iceland would consult ways of working with local authorities concerning prevention of violence against women and sharing good practicies and innovative solutions, organise study visit in Iceland and help in contacts with other icelandic organisations, participate in the debate in Warsaw and prepare informational materials.
We use the grant for capacity building
