On September, 19-20 the Stefan Batory Foundation in Warsaw will hold the workshop for the young Internet activists on combating hate speech online.
Participants will learn how to recognize hate speech on the Internet and how to prevent it, how to create and develop photo and video materials for the purpose of web pages, and how to search for and prepare the content using the websites.
The workshop organized by the Stefan Batory Foundation together with the Polish Children and Youth Foundation within the Citizens for Democracy programme, is a part of campaign against hate speech in the Internet run by the Council of Europe. It is aimed at combating hate speech, discrimination and racism on the Internet by providing young Internet users and youth organizations the skills to recognize and prevent this phenomenon. The campaign, launched on March, 22 2013 by the Council of Europe is part of the Young People Combating Hate Speech Online project, conducted in the period 2012-2014.
