From 18 to 21 February a group of 20 pupils of vocational schools from Warsaw attended workshops against hate speech organized within the Citizens for Democracy programme.
For 4 days they have been learning how to react on hate speech and what tools and methods to use for journalistic work. Winter workshops have been organized according to the ‘citizenship journey’ methodology. It means that instead of sitting in a classroom and listening to the lectures, young people worked mainly in the field, visiting institutions and press offices, talking to the journalists about the hate speech in different areas of the social life. Participants has been also involved in the press and Internet analysis against hate speech. As a result they produced their own small media projects that will be available online soon!
